a NEW member of the household

Happy Tuesday!

So what’s NEW???  We’re getting a NEW member of our household…she moves in soon…she’ll be 82 years old in March…and I rummaged through her kitchen to find the above treasures!!! (with my husband’s assurance that she wouldn’t mind :o)

Yes, my 82-year-old mother-in-law will be coming to live with us once she is released from the skilled nursing facility.  She fell and broke her arm and may have other issues such as heart problems etc.  So, we have lots of NEW changes going on around here!

I’m LOVING the NEW soft box kit my hubby got me for Christmas!  It made shooting these old pans and knives SO FUN!

Have a great day!  Do or Learn something NEW!

I’ll link up to Kim Klassen’s Texture Tuesday

  3. Those are the knives I grew up with in my mother’s kitchen. Along with the wooden-handled ones, she collected silver butter knives with the broad rectangular shape of the knife you photographed that is closest to the pans. Nice memories. Thanks.

  4. I help to care for my Mom who is 80 and so you and I are on the same path in life. I love your photograph – such a sweet still life, a tribute to your mother-in-law, and a testament to things made to last. Oh, I think I need a soft box, too!
