Happy Monday!

So…how do you like my new chair that my wonderful son and daughter-in-law painted/distressed for my Christmas present?  I love it!

Other random stuff:  I attended a fantastic Norman Rockwell exhibit recently and now I have a new appreciation for his illustrations. Many of his painting are so familiar but I wasn’t aware of the background story of most of them. He was politically-minded and many had a political message. Like these:

Now, because of that exhibit I want to watch the 1939 movie “Stagecoach”, read Dicken’s “Pickwick Papers”  and learn more about the Dutch artist technique of Doorkijkje!  So much NEW stuff to learn about…just from visiting an exhibit. :o)
