Happy Friday! (At least it’s Friday in Australia, but as I type this post, it’s still Thursday back home in the USA).
I sort of forgot about my Movie Set Locations bucket list. I only had one listed for a long time. But I’m now able to increase that to 2! Yay! The photo above is in Singapore, where the wedding party scene in Crazy Rich Asians was filmed.
And somewhere in the movie, the main character is having lunch across the street from this building with the colorful windows.

Also, I thought I’d join in the fun on a couple of photo challenges. The photo above is for Lens-Artists Challenge #390 – Color in Black and White. And the photo below is for Monochrome Madness #56 – On the Roof

If you’ve seen a map of Brisbane, Australia before, you may recognize the shape of Brisbane River displayed on the side of that building. Here’s a screenshot of Google maps:

And here is the same “design” on our shower in our hotel room. I guess it’s safe to say, they love their river!

We quite enjoyed it too! Brisbane is one of the best cities we’ve visited! Here’s one of my favorite shots of the river.

That’s about all the miscellany for today. I hope you have a great day and get to learn or do something NEW today!
I am so excited to hear about your trip to Australia. Thanks for sharing the river path and showing it on the building and such. Very cool!
Love all your images!
I wonder if you are home yet? I hope you had a lovely Easter.
Happy Tuesday!

Hi Nancy! Thanks for your comment. No, we are not quite home yet. We’re actually on a Princess Cruise traveling from Australia to Hawaii, then we’ll fly home. We’ll have been gone about 4 months before we get home. It’s been an adventure! Hope you’re doing well. Take care.

These photos are a lot of fun, and I love that the river is portrayed in so much architecture. I agree with Brian that when I saw the river on the building, what struck me about the photo is the cloud on top, too! It made me think of a storm cloud and the river is lightning coming down. In your second movie set photo, I admit I did not notice the colourful windows. Now I’ll have to watch the movie again and look for them. What a fun movie 🙂

Yes, Crazy Rich Asians is a fun movie, and Singapore was the perfect city to film it in. I think Singapore is quite a boujee/bougie city (too much for us, haha!). Hope you’re doing well, Crystal. Have a great day.

It’s been a go-go year, for sure! We figured we should do it while we’re able. We live in a beautiful world and it’s fun to visit a fraction of it! Take care, Terry!

I wrote a comment but don’t see it posted. Sorry if I double this. Anyway, what I said was that I really like how you did the photograph of the river path on that building. Doing it in black and white makes the river path really show up. It grabbed my attention. I didn’t know that movie was filmed there. I, too, enjoy going to movie sets. Continue on with your great adventures!

I am happy you like Brisbane Lenore, my nearest capital city. That cloud looks like it’s on top of the building.
Thanks for joining in MM#56 😀
