a NEW list of trolls to find

Happy Wednesday! We recently visited some Thomas Dambo troll sculptures in the Seattle area. We originally became acquainted with the trolls when we were traveling in Rhode Island, and now I think I want to keep track of how many we can visit. I love me a good list!

If you aren’t familiar with Thomas Dambo, he’s a Danish sculptor. HERE is his website. It looks like most of his work is displayed in Denmark, but quite a few are here in the states. It’ll be fun to make it a priority to go see each troll if/when I’m near their locations. I’ll try to update this post with photos as we visit more.

Here goes:

Oscar the Bird King, Vashon Island, Washington

Bruun Idun, Seattle, Washington

Frankie Feetsplinter, Ballard, Seattle, Washington

    Jakob Two Trees, Issaquah, Washington

    Ole Bolle, Portland, Oregon

    The Thunder Stone, Rhode Island

Young Boulder, Acadia State Park, Rhode Island

    Greta Granit, Rhode Island

    Erik Rock, Rhode Island

    Iver Mudslider, Rhode Island

    1. Your post strikes home for me, as I FINALLY saw Ole Bolle, my first troll. It’s ridiculous it took me this long because he is 10 minutes from my house. So now, when you want to picture where I am – picture Ole Bolle! I have not yet posted about him, but I will. I’ll tag you when I do, so you can see our pics of him the first week of June.

Like you, I love a good list. I love the troll app they have for these guys. Super fun. Did you see Danbo just built a sculpture out of “trash” in a museum? I saw it in the news recently. Anyway, I would love to begin collecting these too, especially since so many are in the Seattle area.
