I recently read this article titled, “The Photography Tips that 96 Photographers Wish They Would’ve Learned Sooner” and I thought there were some really good ideas in it. I’ve been known to ‘Go out shooting’ and hope something would pop out and inspire me. But today, I tried to implement Lesson #1 from the article. I envisioned this shot, planned and then created it. You’ll probably find this shocking, but it wasn’t raining today….I spritzed the window with water from a spray bottle! Before I read this article, I might have felt like that was cheating! 🙂
Next, I’ll have to work on Lesson #2, because I could REALLY get better at reading my histogram.
Have a great day! Do or learn something NEW!
Gorgeous photograph! Thanks for the link to the 96 tips – I’ll have to check that out. Although I suspect I’ll still mostly just go out and wait for something to pop out at me!
PS Thank you for stopping by my blog. Hope you enjoy the Creative Photography book, if you decide to buy it.

This whole trying out new things is the same reason I started out Challenge Kev a few years back. Great post and an even more superbulous (apologies for using a made up word….) blog and idea. Looking forward to reading more. Keep up the good work.

I just started trying to stage photos. It is so much fun to envision them. Not very good yet, but the practicing is fun! Thank you for this post. I am grateful!! 🙂

I love that photo! I’m a point and shoot person myself and it never occurred to me to really plan and stage a photo! 🙂
