a NEW photo of my week #54 and some great advice

I took this photo of these two sisters so quickly that I’m kind of shocked it was even in focus! I just thought they were SO cute, but I get SO nervous taking pics of strangers…especially children with their parents close by …(cuz I didn’t ask permission or anything…ya know?)…sketchy-scary! So I was trying to hurry and capture this image while their Mom had her head turned. (I think she saw me though)…Whew! I’m so glad she didn’t confront me and tear my camera off my neck and throw it into the pond! :o) Haha!

Anyway…moving onward…please enjoy some great advice from a great lady:

I can relate to the “stranger factor”, although when I worked for a newspaper for four years, it wasn’t quite as bad, but now that I’m not, it’s b-a-a-a-ck. LOL

I’m so happy to see that you are stepping out there more and more. I had a charismatic, able-bodied, sharp-minded 100-year old woman attend one of my workshops in July. She said the secret to longevity is “to learn something new every day!” So you are on the right track. Your work is lovely. sweet photo and quote. I use to be afraid – but with all my travels I have learned to just ask….every once in a while they will say no – but usually it starts a fun conversation and most people feel honored you want to take their photos : )

Love the quote and the picture, I’ve got 3 sisters and although we don’t look like each other we have the same sense of humour, so definitely from the same garden.
