How’s this for random?…a snapshot of the turkey who wanders around our neighborhood. 🙂
Additional miscellaneous stuff…I recently watched ‘In the Heart of the Sea” and I think Ron Howard does an excellent job at directing movies! As you may know, one of my hobbies is family history research and I had just recently read a newspaper article about a early cousin of mine who had worked on whale boats for a few years. So that element made the movie that much more interesting to me. Plus, I didn’t realize (before I watched the movie) the extent that people depended on whale oil for lighting their lanterns etc. Interesting! Here’s a clip of my cousin’s adventures:

Also…I gotta share what I’ve been reading lately. Thanks to the recommendation from BookClub Mom, I just finished ‘All the Light We Cannot See’. It was a very good story with an interesting writing format. Tip: Be sure to pay attention to the date headers! 🙂

I’ve been wanting to see In the Heart of the Sea. I read the book and thought it was fascinating. I always like reading about boats and voyages, for some reason. I enjoyed reading about your cousin too! Thanks too for the shout out – glad you liked All the Light. One of my faves! Happy Monday!

As you know, books are typically (or should I say ALWAYS) better than the movies – so you might not like the movie as much as I did. But let me know what you think of it. :o)

“All The Light We Cannot See” is not only a moving story, but it’s beautifully written. I couldn’t put it down. If faithful to the book, I think the movie would also be wonderful. I need to read another one of Doerr’s novels. Thanks for recommending “Light” to others.

Turkey walking around the neighborhood IS pretty random haha! Lat week I went with my family to a sugar shack and saw 2 huge turkeys there. My baby got scared and started crying lol! Have a great week!
