a NEW photo of my week #58 and a short Sunday sermon

Happy Sunday!  I walked by this lovely yard recently…not sure why the empty pots are stored there on the fence like that…(?)…but their yard sure was gorgeous!

For a short Sunday sermon, here’s a quote from a talk I listened to a while back.  I think it is very true.

Margaret D. Nadauld taught: “The world has enough women who are tough; we need women who are tender. There are enough women who are coarse; we need women who are kind. There are enough women who are rude; we need women who are refined. We have enough women of fame and fortune; we need more women of faith. We have enough greed; we need more goodness. We have enough vanity; we need more virtue. We have enough popularity; we need more purity.

Here’s the FULL TALK where that was quoted.  (Just in case you’d like a longer Sunday sermon :o)  Have a great day!  Do or learn something NEW!

  1. Lenore, What a pleasure to get to know you. Thank you for stopping by to visit my blog and leaving such a kind and thoughtful message. My first stop here was to read about you, and it sounds as though we have much in common. I scrolled through several posts and love the variety here, and more importantly, the sincerity in every word and picture. I love that you love to learn – it’s one of my favorite qualities in a friend. The quote in today’s post was just what I needed to hear . . . I’m struggling to help take care of my mother who had to give up her driver’s license this week. . . and I need the encouragement to be my most compassionate self. Your garden photo is a treasure!
