Thursday’s Thought

As you may know, I love photography and I love quotes that motivate me (I’m kind of a quote collector).  However, I recently had a DUH moment!  Rita at Pink Polka Dot Creations took a picture and posted it with her quote.  Duh!!!!! Why haven’t I been combining the two things that I love and that go together so wonderfully????  From now on, my Thursday Thoughts will be posted on one of my photographs  (although I’m not promising the two will completely relate to each other :o)

a NEW road traveled

I just returned from a short weekend trip. Although we’ve been to this city before, we went there a NEW way. While my husband attended some meetings, I got to go out shooting. Here are a few of the pics from today. My favorite is the old fire truck. On the way home, I was driving and my husband actually noticed it.  It was a good NEW road we traveled today!

a NEW Photo Necklace

I really like the looks of jewelry….on other people. However, when I wear it, It tends to get in my way and typically kind of annoys me (except, of course, my wedding ring! :o) But when I saw the post about photo-crafting on Short on Words a while back, I made a note-to-self to at least try it out. It’s a quick and easy project, so if you love photography and jewelry…this is for you! -OR- if  you’re like me, and love photography and have friends or family that love jewelry…you can make them gifts! Win-Win!!!

So, this photo went from this:

Make a NEW necklace soon!

NEWbie to link parties

Since I’m so new at blogging, I’m constantly surprised at the many link parties and various ways people have come up with to share this fun media of blogging. Today I found a “Favorite photo of the week’ party at Simple As That.  What a great idea!….loved looking at the great photography too! I’m sure there are more such parties…I’m excited to find them!  (I think this Lone Leaf on a Log is my fav for this week).

Fall Colors 2012

This post will be short on words….I’ll just let the pics say it all. I went up the canyon today.  My $6 canyon pass is good for three days…so I plan to get my $$ worth and go up again and again! Love the fall colors! One of my favorite things EVER!
