NEW boat photos of my week
Happy Wednesday!
I think I’m obsessed with boats – or at least photographing boats on calm, beautiful blue water! It must be because I live in the desert. I recently went on a girls weekend getaway to Seattle and Victoria, BC. It was a fun sister-party! Here are more boat pics from the weekend – and boy, do I have tons of botanical pics from Butchart Gardens to share (eventually).
Someone had fun sailing between the San Juan islands.
This is a twin of the ferry we waited three hours to get on, to go to BC! Who knew it was a Canadian holiday and a three-day weekend!!??!! Note to sisters – check Canadian calendar next time! Here…I’ll save us the trouble: Canadian Statutory Holidays.
I should make a jigsaw puzzle out of the one above, eh? It would be a tough one. :o)
White on blue – one of my favorite color schemes!
And…one more…a tiny boat among docked boats:

a NEW photo of my week and a short Sunday sermon
Happy Sunday! Here’s another pic from our hike in Zion National Park. For today’s short sermon, I’ll pair this photo with a talk called ‘The Reflection in the Water’.
“Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf, using the analogy of the ugly duckling, explains that young adults can find great purpose in knowing who they are.”
Here’s a small snippet of the talk after the Ugly Duckling analogy:
“…most people have felt sad or inadequate at one time or another. It’s natural to have times of self-doubt or unhappiness. The question, why should I go on living, is simply another wording of the age old phrase penned by William Shakespeare 400 years ago, and uttered by millions of Hamlets the world over since that time, “To be or not to be, that is the question. But Shakespeare was wrong. He was wrong.”
President Uchtdorf goes on to suggest some edits to Shakespeare’s Hamlet and then comments that he understands that such an edit would hopelessly ruin one of the greatest literary masterpieces of all time! President Uchtdorf is such a great speaker and wise teacher! I loved this sermon! I hope you do too.
Have a terrific day! Read and learn something NEW!

a NEW iphone photo find
Happy Friday! Here’s my iPhone photo find of the week. This leaf was actually pretty tiny and I almost just stepped on it on my way into work one day. I thought it looked kind of cool with the water droplets, so I quickly snapped a pic. I love how photography has trained me to LOOK for small little droplets of beauty in our world! Have a great day! Do or Learn something NEW!

NEW photos of my week #27
I FINALLY when out shooting last evening, and saw this abandoned scooter at the edge of a lake. Some little tyke came to a dead-end! This fishing pole also looks abandoned, but I think it’s owner was probably close by.
Have a great week everyone! Do or Learn something NEW!
