Hi all! Well, yesterday when I was looking through the photos on my phone for Friday’s post, look what I found!  I had forgotten I took a quick pic of this yummy salad I made for a 4th of July BBQ!  I knew I MUST share the recipe with all of you!  It’s a copycat recipe from a very popular café in my area…Zupa’s Café.  HERE’S where I found the recipe.

Have a great Saturday!  Do or Learn something NEW!

a NEW iPhone Friday photo…and a NEW recipe

soup

So I took a photo of my dinner with my phone on Wednesday….because I need to keep my Friday phone pic theme going, right?  Well this soup was delicious.  It was a freezer meal from my dear friend {I’ve posted about freezer meals previously}…so it’s a NEW recipe for me too!  Have a great Friday!  Do or Learn…OR EAT something NEW!Souprecipe

a NEW recipe….sliders or snackers?

hamswiss

I tried this NEW recipe a few months ago, and my boys really like these sandwiches!  I call them sliders…but one of my sons insist they are ‘snackers’.  I, of course, am right 🙂

I first wanted to try this recipe from this post at Purple Chocolat Home….but I’ve seen various versions on Pinterest etc. They are REALLY easy to put  together and good to  have in the refrigerator as a back up for when there’s not much else to eat…..I know you know what I’m talking about!

Try a NEW recipe today…or do or learn something else NEW!

a NEW split pea soup recipe

peasoup2

Hi all!  So here is pic of the fixin’s of a NEW recipe I’m going to try today.  Split Pea Soup! I’ve never made split pea soup before….mainly because I just remember a watery-green, gross looking soup, which I had no desire to make.  But since I had left-over ham and this recipe at Angela’s Adventures looked so yummy and soooo easy, I’m going to try it!  I’ll add an additional review tomorrow.  We have out-of-town guests staying at our house, so I’m hoping it’ll be a hit.  Again, I’ll let you know.  Have a great Saturday, and HAPPY NEW YEAR!

REVIEW:  My house guests liked it!  My husband liked it!  I kind of liked it…it reminded me a little bit of the baby food peas I use to feed my babies :o).  I couldn’t get my teenage boys to touch it.  Overall, I’m glad I tried it.  (I can say I’ve done it now!)  But it probably won’t be a regular recipe of ours.

a NEW yummy recipe

Hi all! A few weeks ago, my good friend brought me over the yummiest pumpkin bread! The texture was soooo perfect! I know I clicked a picture of it, because I thought to myself….I’ve got to share this on my blog! Well….it took a while to get the actually recipe out of my friend, and now….hmmmm…..ok, where is that picture I took???? No where to be found! So I googled pumpkin bread, and this pic looks pretty close. But believe me….this recipe is a GOOD one! Perfect consistency and texture. So yummy! {source for pic}

So, here is a PDF printout of my friends recipe!  Try it….or something else NEW today!
