another NEW update to our NP bucket list

Happy Saturday!

2024 seems to be our year of visiting National Parks. If all goes well, we’ll visit 9 this year. Last weekend we visited Saguaro National Park. Perfect weather…not too hot! It’s amazing how many different varieties of cactus there are. About 2000! Here are a few of the shots I captured:

I leave you with this last one that I can’t help saying Peace Baby. :o)

Have a great day. I hope you learn or do something NEW!

a NEW photo of my week and a short Sunday sermon

Happy Sunday! I never get tired of visiting Cedar Breaks National Monument. They were having a Wildflower Festival the day we drove by.  We didn’t stop at the visitors center, but stopped down the road a bit and took these flower pics.

So for today’s short sermon, I’ll just feature the lyrics from the great musical sermon “How Great Thou Art”.  Because this place and many others are definitely an ‘awesome wonder’!!!

O Lord, my God, when I in awesome wonder
Consider all the worlds Thy Hands have made;
I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder,
Thy power throughout the universe displayed
Then sings my soul, My Saviour God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, how great Thou art.
Then sings my soul, My Saviour God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, how great Thou art!
And when I think of God, His Son not sparing;
Sent Him to die, I scarce can take it in;
That on the Cross, my burden gladly bearing,
He bled and died to take away my sin.
Then sings my soul, My Saviour God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, how great Thou art.
Then sings my soul, My Saviour God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, how great Thou art!
When Christ shall come with shout of acclamation
And lead me home, what joy shall fill my heart!
Then I shall bow with humble adoration,
And then proclaim, “My God, how great Thou art!”
Then sings my soul, My Saviour God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, how great Thou art.
Then sings my soul, My Saviour God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, how great Thou art!

Have a great day!  Do or visit somewhere NEW!

NEW photos of my week and a short Sunday sermon

Happy Sunday!  You might recall a post back in June, went I mentioned we went for a hike hoping to find these wildflowers, but found snow instead.  Well, this is hike-take-two.  The meadows were filled with wildflowers and we even hiked further up to this lake:

For today’s short sermon, I’ll simply link to this really well-done video (HERE)  about how important family is and how one man found his grandfather’s army weapon after his funeral…and how important researching his grandfather’s life was to him.

Have a terrific day!  Do or learn something NEW!
