Miscellaneous Monday…NEW stuff i gotta share

mantle

Happy Monday!  Well, so far, I’ve kept up on my goal to have something NEW/different on my mantle each month since…hmmmm…..October (I think).  Here’s a quick snapshot of March’s mantle.  I basically just put up green stuff…so, with the exception of the St Patrick’s Day plaque, I’ll be able to use all the items elsewhere.  Don’t be surprised if you see some of this stuff in future photos.

Well, what’s NEW?  We recently went to a benefit concert and enjoyed listening to Alfie Boe.  He is so good!  Alfie was the last artist to sing and it was hard to wait for his time to come on!  The other artists were good….but you know…just not AS good :o) The benefit was for the Elizabeth Smart Foundation and Operation Underground Railroad.

Also, I’ve been hitting the gym longer these days.  Since now that my commute to work is more than 5 minutes, I’ve changed to working out after work rather than before….so I tend to stay longer.  I have a few NEW favorite YouTube exercise channels I’ll share with you:

Athlean-XX for Women, Fitness Blender, and POPSugar Fitness

I’ve been slacking lately on my posts, so I’m sure I’m forgetting something NEW…oh yeah, we went and stayed at Lake Las Vegas and went into town and saw Cirque du Soleil’s Beatles Love.  It was very good!

That’s about it.  Happy Monday.  Do or learn something NEW!

Miscellaneous Monday…NEW stuff i gotta share

janmantle

Happy Monday! You know, my efforts to get something NEW up on my mantle every month may end up taking longer than just this year to complete.  Life gets busy! So, although January’s mantle isn’t exactly what I envisioned it to be…at least a few NEW items got up this month.  I had planned on spraying the window with frost and maybe put some snowflakes in each pane….kind of like this:

….but, oh well, the month’s almost over and it looks like it’s not happenin’!  Little by little, right?!?  Maybe next year. :o)

So, what else is NEW?  For my birthday, I got a Fitbit. I’ve enjoyed being more aware (ultra-aware) of how many steps I take, tracking my sleep, water intake etc.  I’ve read that it’s sometimes better to make a one-word New Year’s Resolution.  If so, I think my resolution should be: Move More!  Since my job entails sitting at a computer all day, that is something I definitely should do more of! The Fitbit helps with that!   I also enjoyed OK Namaste’s post on “mindful eating” since I’ve been on my ‘awareness’ kick this month!

Well, have a terrific day!  Do so learn something NEW!
