So I took a photo of my dinner with my phone on Wednesday….because I need to keep my Friday phone pic theme going, right? Well this soup was delicious. Happy Tuesday! I’ve been editing a few old photos lately. This photo of my son was taken with a standard point and shoot camera quite a few years ago. {The shadow is my favorite part of this photo} Thank goodness for digital photography! What did we ever do without it?!? Now to decide if I just keep them on my computer…print them, order a photo book, or what! Any ideas? They are all pretty random old photos. Hmmmm… let me know what you think.
Happy Monday! I’ve been busy, busy, busy! My son is getting married in less than four weeks….(yeah, yeah, I know I’m not the mother-of-the bride, but I still have stuff to do! :o) I’ve also had fun watching my other son play baseball {yup, that’s a photo of the goof-ball above…lookin’ soooooo….ummm what?….like a goof-ball!!!} High School tennis is just recently done with, which gives us a bit of breathing room, and then just regular life has kept us busy. It’s all a good busy. But I just wanted to share a few random NEW things that have crossed my virtual path lately:
Why have I never heard of Sweet Potato Pound Cake?…..***OR*** Manure Tea? Both are NEW to me!
Also, I’ve been on an organization kick lately….or at least getting geared up to be organized by watching a few organization tutorials on YouTube. This one amazed me…could I really be that obsessive with my fabric stash??? Check it out HERE.

Ok….this iPhone photo was taken out my car window (obviously dirty window…sorry for the smudge). Sadly, it does NOT do this sunset justice, because you really can’t see the texture that was really in the sky that evening. The cloud ripples that night were truly amazing! Hi all! Here’s another NEW photo of my week. Again, don’t you wish you could smell these roses? Photographs do such a great job at duplicating the sight of things…wouldn’t it be great if someone would invent a good scent duplicator?!? (Not just the very artificial perfume rose scent). Ahhhh…maybe someday :o)

Last year I posted my book review of the The Black Tulip. I enjoy Dumas’ writing. I think it’s time to find another of his books to read….soon.

Also…here is a very random thought I had recently: Since I grew up in the U.S. which has very liberally baby naming laws (you can basically name your own child anything you want to)…I was quite surprised when I learned something NEW….the fact that other countries weren’t so accommodating. I thought these news articles were interesting: “Who, What, Why: Why do some countries regulate baby names?” and “8 Counties with Fascinating Baby Naming Laws” I actually went searching for the French list of names because a friend told me France has a similar baby naming law – but I couldn’t find their list. I simply found that trivia a bit interesting. If you know of any other country name trivia – let me know! OK?

Update: After I posted this, I noticed at The Day After that they are having a A Lingering Look at Architecture challenge! (Abandoned Architecture) I had no idea, BUT, I’ll just say I’ve accepted the challenge :o) Go check it out…there’s some GREAT shots!
I’ve decided that getting a shot of a bee on a flower is almost sheer luck…and getting TWO bees, is REALLY lucky!…because if you see a bee and want to take its photograph, by the time you get your camera up to your eye to focus, the bee is already somewhere else. (And you can get really dizzy trying to follow those busy bees from petal to petal!!! Yes, that’s experience talking!) It’s MUCH easier on your equilibrium to just focus on a flower and HOPE that those busy insects buzz into your area of focus.
