a NEW tool organizer

OK…this tool organizer is actually ‘well established’ in my garage. (Not new at all!) However, when other people see it for the first time, they always ohh and ahh and want this ‘NEW’ thing in their garage too! Why? Because it’s genius! It holds about 4 times more tools than regular hook organizers. You see, you can hang them 4 deep in the same amount of space!

I just have to chuckle when I see ‘organizers’ like these:

(Well, I admit they’d be just fine…if you only own 4 or 5 tools).   Sorry I can’t give you the reference of the magazine we originally got the plans from (too long ago to remember). But I tried to take close-ups so you could make a copy-cat version if you so desired.

Do you have any “well established” ideas that others think are NEW? Please share!

a NEW recommendation

I LOVE photography and have learned soooo much from the website AdoramaTV. It has tons of wonderful video tutorials about all aspects of photography! Very informative and easy to follow along! It’s MUCH better than reading a dry book about aperture, shutter speed, ISO etc. I highly recommend it! (And no, they didn’t pay me for this recommendation….they don’t even know I exist!) My favorite tutor is Mark Wallace. He explains everything very clearly!

a NEW game shelf

I love our NEW game shelf that my husband made for us recently! This cute shelf at Martha Stewart’s site inspired me,  while we were in the middle of finishing the basement teenage man-cave. Although the xbox and the ping-pong table typically see more action from my boys than our new game table/shelf, I can occasionally get someone to sit down with me for a game of chess :o) Plus I think it used up a good amount of wallspace….so I don’t have to find ‘decor’ to fill it up! Yeah!

a NEW hobby

I’m excited to explore a NEW hobby! Have you seen the GORGEOUS decorated sugar cookies that are everywhere? I’ve been researching as many tips as I can…now it’s down to the PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT stage. Wish me luck!

A few FABULOUS sites for inspiration, tips and techniques are University of Cookie, Karen’s Cookies, and Sweetopia!
