NEW photos of my week
Happy Friday! If you saw yesterday’s Thursday’s Thought post, you’ll notice these pics are all quite similar! Here’s the rest from that photo shoot. My Mother-in-Law, that just moved in with us, received a bouquet of flowers from her daughter and I stole them for this shoot….and with Valentine’s Day coming up, I have LOVE on my mind :o)
I was actually inspired by this ABSOLUTELY LOVELY post at LavenderBleu blog

Miscellaneous Monday…NEW stuff i gotta share
Happy Monday! You know, my efforts to get something NEW up on my mantle every month may end up taking longer than just this year to complete. Life gets busy! So, although January’s mantle isn’t exactly what I envisioned it to be…at least a few NEW items got up this month. I had planned on spraying the window with frost and maybe put some snowflakes in each pane….kind of like this:
….but, oh well, the month’s almost over and it looks like it’s not happenin’! Little by little, right?!? Maybe next year. :o)
So, what else is NEW? For my birthday, I got a Fitbit. I’ve enjoyed being more aware (ultra-aware) of how many steps I take, tracking my sleep, water intake etc. I’ve read that it’s sometimes better to make a one-word New Year’s Resolution. If so, I think my resolution should be: Move More! Since my job entails sitting at a computer all day, that is something I definitely should do more of! The Fitbit helps with that! I also enjoyed OK Namaste’s post on “mindful eating” since I’ve been on my ‘awareness’ kick this month!
Well, have a terrific day! Do so learn something NEW!
a NEW photo of my week and a short Sunday sermon
Happy Sunday! I enjoyed reading a message from a Catholic Archbishop from Philadelphia that was given at Brigham Young University last week.
He said: “In 2015 we’re a nation of many faith communities and no single church. That’s a gift, not a burden. But as the Founders knew, and we forget at our peril, the American project of ordered liberty can’t work without the support of a moral people — a people formed by a living faith in a loving God.” (read more of a summary of the speech HERE)

Happy Monday!
So…some people are quite creative with their firewood, right?!? This place is just off a busy street about 5 minutes from my house…I’ve photographed some of their other ‘work’ before {previous post here}.
Hmm…so what else is NEW? I recently finished A Traitor’s Wife:
I really like historical fiction, and although this book seemed a little drawn-out, especially in the middle of the book, I enjoyed it quite a bit.
I’ve started my next quilting project. It will be something similar to this except in blues and whites:

NEW photos of my week and a short Sunday sermon
Happy Sunday! You know, one of the great things about buying myself roses, is that I get to photography them while they’re fresh (previous post) and then again when they’re all dried up!
I recently visited a NEW online art exhibit, all of paintings of Christ…His childhood, His ministry and the Last Supper. This is one of my favorites by Laurie Olson Lisonbee (Here’s the link to the gallery)
Jesus wanted the Twelve—and He wants each of us—to learn that humility and service are worthy characteristics we should seek to obtain. He taught that no one is too important to serve others.
Have a great day!
