a NEW photo of my week and a short Sunday sermon

path

Happy Sunday! I thought this path that I photographed this week would pair nicely with this great talk, The Three Rs of Choices.

Here’s a sneak peek: “First, the right of choice; second, the responsibility of choice; and third, the results of choice”…but go read the rest of the talk if you have time, because its fabulous!

a NEW photo of my week #60 and a short musical Sunday sermon

Happy Sunday!

So, I had a goal this year that I’m slightly behind on 😦  I wanted to learn a NEW piano solo each month this year….but so far I’ve only learned 8  (I need to get to the piano more often!!!…but the year’s not over yet, right?!?)  Here’s my list so far:

1) March of the Siamese Children 2) Ave Maria 3)Time to Say Goodbye 4) Downton Abbey Theme 5) Come Thou Font of Every Blessing 6) Gymnopedie I 7) The Lord’s Prayer 8) This is the Christ

I love, love, LOVE the “This is the Christ” piece…and I think you will too.  So for today’s Sunday sermon, please enjoy listening to the sermon!  Here’s a few of the words:

I read His words, the words He prayed While bearing sorrow in Gethsemane; I feel His love, the price He paid. How many drops of blood were spilled for me? With saints of old in joyful cry I too can testify; This is the Christ; This is the Christ, the Holy Son of God, Our Savior, Lord, Redeemer of mankind. This is the Christ, the healer of our souls Who ransomed us with purest love divine!

a NEW backside view

rejoice

Happy Friday!  I captured this photo of this mountain last Saturday while I spent a nice morning four-wheeling with my hubby.  We live on the west side of this mountain, so this is the backside view.  I had to pair it with this fabulous quote that I recently found at Pic Me Up Photos blog. (Click on the photo if you need it larger to read the quote)  I LOVE that!…because nature truly has a message that I can understand!  (You can probably tell by all the nature photography I share, huh?)

a NEW Fall Bucket List

fallbucketlist

Well, we’re almost an entire month into the Autumnal Equinox! I thought it’s about time I made a Fall Bucket List.  I really haven’t done this before….but I must say that I DO LOVE LISTS!  So I thought I’d try it this year.  There are GREAT ideas on…oh, you know…that obscure little site called Pinterest! :o)

Here is my list of ten {notice not too overwhelming, and not too difficult to accomplish}:

1) Go on a family camping/hiking trip 2) Get a family portrait taken 3)Roast pumpkin seeds 4) Make Fall/Halloween themed sugar cookies 5) Rake leaves in a neighbors yard 6) Buy/Drink apple cider from The Red Barn  7) Bake an apple pie 8) Watch Hocus Pocus  9) Run on a crisp morning  10)Write someone a ‘Thankful’ note.

What’s NEW on your list this year?? (If you haven’t made one yet, feel free to print out the list above and get-rrrr-done!)

Have a GREAT day…and a GREAT Autumn!

Miscellaneous Monday…NEW stuff i gotta share

driveby

Happy Monday!

Last week I went for a short drive up the canyon after work.  The fall colors were gorgeous!  One of these years maybe we’ll have to rent a convertible to go check out the colors….now that’s that way to go!!! :o)

So, what else has caught my attention lately?  Well, here ya go:

Crock pot Chocolate Zucchini Cake.  MUST.TRY!

You all know I’m a quote-a-holic!  I’m LOVIN’ Essenza Blend’s Quotes of the Day!!!  (I especially loved that one!)

And…one more…loved, loved, LOVED this:

“Attempting to poke holes in anyone’s beliefs….will never fill the holes in your own.”  (Found that one HERE).

Have a great day!  Do or learn something NEW!

NEW photos of my week #34

leafheart

I went out shooting yesterday and was a bit disappointed at the lack of…really anything, that caught my eye.  I came home and told my hubby that along with “No Shave November” (my son has a bushy, bushy beard)…this month should also be known as “Nothing to shoot November”!

However, I’ve learned that a good photographer can create a good photo out of nothing…so I ventured out and gave it my best shot 🙂

For the top photo, I’ll link to Song-ography. I was inspired by the great photos in this week’s song video:

Also, this week on Scavenger Hunt Sunday, the prompts were: Starts w/S, Texture, A Blessing, Warmth, and I Went.  Here are my interpretations:
