Happy Monday! So, I don’t particularly like mushrooms, but these were sprouting up in a nearby park next to a walking path I was on and for some reason they just called out to be photographed.  Random, I know!  So…other miscellaneous stuff:

Stuff I’ve read lately: Daddy Long Legs.  A short book written by Mark Twain’s great niece.  I’ll admit to skimming through some of the middle…just to get to the end.  Nice story idea, but kind of old-fashioned writing style.  It was published in 1916 (I think), so that’s to be expected.  I didn’t realize there was a movie too…with Fred Astaire.  I’ll have to watch it and see if I like it better than the book.

I listened to this book on CD:  Washington’s Six Spies.  It was interesting to learn more about the intelligence aspect of the Revolution.  You know, to me, it use to seem like 1776 was ages ago…but now, 250-ish years ago doesn’t seem that long ago.  Its all relative.  Countries across the pond have oodles more years of history than we do. Does that make me really old?  Of course, the book referenced Benedict Arnold quite a bit and I was trying to remember a few details from The Traitors Wife that I read about a year ago.

I bought RainX to try a window cleaning hack that I saw on Pinterest.  I’ll let you know how that turns out! :o)

Lastly, I made Turkey Cranberry Enchiladas this week.  Who knew turkey and cranberries went so well with cilantro, salsa and cumin???  Try it with your turkey leftovers next month!
