Happy Friday! I’ll never tire of looking out at the lilac bushes and I’m lovin’ snipping off a few sprigs to smell and photograph. Have a great day!

Miscellaneous Monday…NEW stuff i gotta share
Happy Monday! Here’s another photo for my heirloom project. This little blanket is probably about 87 years old, and it was made by my Grandmother. Little by little I’ll get all the heirlooms photographed and documented with who they originally belonged to!
OK, here’s my miscellaneous stuff I wanna share:
Check out this cool video on How to Grow a Mandala!
OR… one of these TED videos (I LOVE the good side of technology!!!)
Eye exams for people in poor and/or very remote areas using A SMART PHONE!!!!
This TEDtalk, Go Ahead, Make Up New Words explains how anyone can make up a NEW word. Cool! I want to do that!…then maybe someday it’ll be published in a dictionary :o)

NEW photo of my week and a short Sunday sermon
Happy Sunday! My hubby and I went to Temple Square a few days ago and enjoyed all the {so beautiful!!!} flower gardens, had a Lion House roll with honey butter (YUM!) and stayed for a college choir concert. On our way out, the sun was just directly behind the temple, so I shot this silhouette. I kind of love how it turned out. :o)
So, I thought today’s Sunday sermon should relate to temples. Right?!?
I’ve come to realize that there are A LOT of misconceptions about what Mormons do in temples. If you’ve ever wondered, you can read THIS. Others have heard of our ‘Baptisms for the Dead’ and believe we exhume bodies for some weird ceremony in our temples. Uh NO….NOT even close! I suppose we should really change our wording so it’s more clear to those who don’t understand. It’s actually ‘Baptism by Proxy’ and it is mentioned in the Bible, so I don’t see why many people, (even other Christians) find it so different. The New Testament indicates that baptisms for the dead were done during the time of the Apostle Paul (see 1 Corinthians 15:29). You can read more about temple worship HERE.

a NEW photo of an old heirloom
Happy Wednesday! I’ve previously mentioned my project of eventually photographing all heirlooms I have in the house (which aren’t very many :o). This lone teacup was my Grandmother’s. How I wish I knew if she was the original owner or if she possibly received it from someone else. I suppose I’ll never know. But at least my children and grandchildren will know who I received it from. That’s better than nothing, right?!?

a NEW Texture Tuesday
Happy Tuesday! I was going to save this post for my ‘Thursday Thought’, but just couldn’t wait. (If I don’t get a post published for Thursday, you’ll know why! :o)
My breath was taken away when I noticed these beauties yesterday! I had to walk that same path today, this time with my camera, and capture their loveliness!

NEW blossoms and a short Sunday sermon
Happy Sunday! I’m going crazy and shooting tree blossoms all over town! They are just SO pretty! Here’s another version:
I recently attended a workshop given by a religion professor. He was very knowledgeable about the New Testament and told us about his family’s tradition of preparing for Easter. He’s put together a website with all of his resources (HERE).
He, of course, starts with Palm Sunday (next week!!!!).
He writes: Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem has a long history in the Christian tradition, and it plays an important in the liturgies of the Roman Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, and some Protestant churches. For me celebrating Palm Sunday truly opens Holy Week, setting it apart from other weeks by focusing my thoughts and faith on Christ my king.
I hope to take some time with my family and study “Resurrection Week” a bit more in depth this year also. Have a great day! Do or learn something NEW!
