Happy Thursday! You’ll notice this photo is lacking snow and ice. Yup, I’m tired of the snow and ice…so I browsed through my archives for today’s Thursday Thought post. This photo was taken in Nauvoo, Illinois this past summer at about 6am one fine morning.
Have a great day! Do or Learn something NEW…and remember to forget the mistakes, headaches and heartaches of yesterday and start again…because today is a brand NEW day!
I realize I haven’t been posting much lately! Life happens…ya know?!? So, what’s NEW? Well, a bunch of minor, miscellaneous STUFF!
The photo above is my NEWindoor herb garden that I got for Christmas. I LOVE it! Since I keep it in my pantry, I pay MUCH MORE attention to it than I would if it were outside! I started it exactly one month ago…and the dill is going wild already! I can’t wait until I can actually harvest enough to use! I’ve been psych-ing myself up for harvest time by pinning ideas…check out my ‘Fresh Herb Recipes’ board on Pinterest. I have dill, cilantro, chives, two types of basil and parsley. Fun!…and if I photography any food dishes, it’ll be nice to have fresh herbs on hand to make the photos more interesting, right?!
Have a great day! Do or Learn something NEW!….and if you need a good laugh, check out this funny hilarious video. {I about cried, I was laughing so hard!!!}
How do you like this little daisy bud? I recently bought a set of extension tubes for my camera and today I finally got a chance to try them out! I think I’m gonna LOVE them…andthe price compared to a bona fide macro lens!!! Today I picked up a bouquet of daisies at the store…{I was WAY toooo tired of the winter gray’s I’ve been shooting lately!}…and tried out the tubes on them. FUN! It really brightened my day! Here’s some more shots of the little beauties:
Hope you all have a terrific day! Do or Learn something NEW!
Aren’t these pretty little cookies? AND they taste even better than they look! {You know I’m addicted to photography when I have to take a photo of a nice, sweet treat my kind neighbor leaves on my porch!} But really, they are soooo pretty!
Tip: These will even freeze well! I know, because by the time we returned home, these little darlings were frozen from being on my porch for a few hours. But after they thawed, they were still delish!
I’ve begged for the recipe, so I’ll try and post that soon.
Have a great day! Learn or Do something NEW…(leaving a treat for a neighbor is a good idea)! Thanks Darci!
What a foggy morning! In one spot, I could barely see a traffic light across an intersection! So I didn’t stay out to shoot too long! (Not much I could see to even shoot!)
Yup…Just one NEW photo of my week. Terrible! :o) It snowed ALL day yesterday and I wasn’t feelin’ like shooting in the snow. (Yes, I’m a whimpy photographer). It is what it is. Hopefully I can get out more next week.
Have a great day! Do or learn something NEW!
I’ll link to Song-ography’s Silver Bell Edition (The nativity ornament IS silver….hope it’s not too much of a stretch). BTW…I LOVE that site! I have a smile on my face after I read her posts!…Every.Single.Time!
What’s NEW with you? We’ve had a couple of days of snow, so I got some winter shots on my photo shoot today. This one, with the trees reflecting through the (almost) frozen stream is my favorite of the day. Here’s some more:
Hallelujah! At least one of my photos turned out decent. We quickly rushed through Temple Square to see the lights before attending another event in downtown Salt Lake, and this one was really the only decent photo I got. I hope to get back up there with more time to shoot soon!
