Miscellaneous Monday…NEW stuff i gotta share
Happy Monday!
Well my past week has been busy with a large project at home, and unfortunately photography sessions have NOT happened {so sad}. This pic is from a while ago…I really love how even weeds can look kind of cool…in the right lighting! :o)
My large project has been switching my computer room with our guest room. The guest room was MUCH larger and had an adjacent bathroom. Very nice for guests, but we don’t have guests all THAT often! So, I switched rooms and I LOVE IT!!! So much better! It’s now a computer room/craft room; and I now have a ‘Project Table’ right in front of a large window…(great for photography). It’s just SUCH a more efficient set up. Maybe I’ll take some pics after I’m all done organizing. PLUS! There’s a large open area that I could even watch some exercise youtube videos and workout in my computer room/craft room! My favorite YouTube exercise guru is Zuzka Light (I love her accent too)!
I also have a NEW interest: PYROGRAPHY! I noticed this site {HERE} that had a cool project and it’s now on my bucket list of things I want to try. Let me know if any of you have any tips!
Lastly! I wanna share this site I found that had Post Race Recovery Tips. I used a couple of these tips on Saturday after a long-hard bike ride. I wasn’t sore the next day, which was really surprising, cuz it was a killer ride! But I thought they were good tips. AND…a tip from personal experience: If you empty out, then turn off your freezer, before you head out for a 3-hour bike ride, when you get home you feel SO EFFICIENT! It’s like you were multi-tasking and you just wipe out the NEWly defrosted freezer and WHA-LA! Such a good feeling!

Hi all! Well, yesterday when I was looking through the photos on my phone for Friday’s post, look what I found! I had forgotten I took a quick pic of this yummy salad I made for a 4th of July BBQ! I knew I MUST share the recipe with all of you! It’s a copycat recipe from a very popular café in my area…Zupa’s Café. HERE’S where I found the recipe.

a NEW photo and NEW textures
Hello! Well, I FINALLY did it! I’ve been wanting to start experimenting with textures via Kim Klassen’s site for quite a few weeks now, but life is busy, ya know!?!. But today I actually downloaded some free textures that she offers (Thank you Kim!) and watched her tutorial and created the photo above. I think I’ll be hooked now! So many of my online friends are taking her classes and I can’t wait to join in the fun.
I’ll be sharing this at Texture Tuesday at Kim’s site. So fun!

Happy Monday! What’s NEW with all of you???
One NEW thing here (which I’m not thrilled about) is my sticking space bar on my computer keyboard! :o( Not fun! It’s taken me wayyyyyy longer than it should, for me to even type this first sentence!!! Arggg! BUT!…how do you like the NEW gift box I just made? (Out of regular paper!…nothing fancy!) I learned how to fold them HERE.
Also, I recently stumbled onto this art site and was introduced to a NEW (to me) art term: Encaustic. I love art in all varieties, and I’m especially happy to learn a NEW word:o)

a NEW book review
Hi all! I recently finished reading ‘The Happiness Project’, and I have to say I enjoyed it very much. I haven’t read a non-fiction book in a while – because I’m usually just struggling to finish the novels picked out for our book club before our meeting time! And I don’t even remember who recommended this book. I’ve had it on my Shelfari “shelf” for quite a while now. (That’s the online site where I keep track of all the books I’ve read and all the book I want to read) So I FINALLY got to it! It has motivated me to make and keep some resolutions and give myself a few ‘gold stars’. :o) I’ll also have to start reading the author’s blog. I’m sure that will help keep me motivated.

Happy 4th of July!!! On my way home from the dentist on Wednesday, I snapped this photo of the American Flag – then had fun again with the Waterlogue app.

These Red White and Blue flowers caught my eye (when I didn’t have my camera with me…of course!) So a few days later, I took my camera with me to capture these very patriotic beauties. What do you think?
